Pulteney Weir

In the 1970’s Pulteney Weir was rebuilt with its classic ‘V’ shaped sluice gate that acts as a flood control gate and also to the delight of tourists serves as a good photographic vantage scene.

Many photographic images have been created of the majestic River Avon in Bath as it flows via Pulteney Weir and through the classical symmetric arches of Pulteney Bridge.
