Views of the Mont-Blanc massif atop Le Brévent mountain peak is magical. It is July weather warm, just two cable cars up (20-minute ride).
1hr walk later, big hailstones and rain hits hard – cable cars stopped due to lightning storm. Trapped up there with rest of people for a few hours.
Views of the Mont-Blanc massif atop Le Brévent mountain peak Ok, I planned that if it rained I’d be ok for a few hours but nevertheless, we did walk pretty fast though, at high mountain altitude, as soon as the distant mountain tops became swirled within dark heavy rain-clouds.
The magic was watching the lightning strikes and thunderous hail-stoned rainclouds blow slowly across and past us. Then the sunshine came out again and the air was clean fresh and bright.
…Those hailstones sure do sting!
